Classic Damask Wallpapers
This collection revives some of Zoffany’s most famous and best loved papers, previously only available as hand-prints. ‘Classic Damask Wallpapers’ reintroduces designs from Zoffany’s earliest collections. The designs: Oak Garland, Pomegranate and Long Gallery, originate from ‘Temple Newsam,’ the very first wallpaper collection produced by Zoffany, named after the early Tudor House built around 1500 for Thomas Lord Darcy. In the 1980s, the original Zoffany design team was commissioned to reproduce some of the fabulous and precious wallpapers from the interior of the house.
