Featherlux
Combining comfort and convenience, the Featherlux cushion consists of a Quallofil®/fibre centre wrapped in duck and feather down. Together this offers the look and feel of a feather cushion with the advantage of a fuller appearance after use.
Duck feather and down
Zoffany use duck feather mixed with down for seat cushions on traditional designs due to its soft “lofty†appearance so characteristic of period upholstery styles. It is often selected for its durability and excellent qualities of recovery in areas of high crush loading.
China duck
Perfect as the filling for back cushions where crush loading is significantly lower than for seats.
Feather
Most useful as a filling for items such as small scatter cushions where high density is required to provide meaningful support.
Quallofil® */ fibre
For the more contemporary pieces, Du Pont’s ‘Quallofil®’ fibre is used for seats. Quallofil®/fibre is also available as an option on all designs if there is any concern about allergic reactions to feathers. * Quallofil® is a registered trademark
